Installing Air Conditioner In Pella Windows 10
I have the same problem and asked that very same question here a few weeks ago. I have hot water baseboard heat so central air is out for me as well.Here is what I'm planning on doing. Take a 2x4 or more likely a 2x6, cut it to length to fit into the opening when the window is open then run it through my table saw and cut grooves into it so that it will fit flat into the window opening. This should give a nice flat surface for the AC unit to rest on.For the bedroom units, which are small, I'll just put them into place on the board then close the window onto it and brace the window down with another board from the top of the window down. For the large 15,000 BTU unit I will mount a couple brackets from the outside edge of the board to the house underneath the window.By doing the above I can install the AC units and not put any holes or otherwise damage the new vinyl windows. It probably will not look the best but I can't think of any other way to do it.
